US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $430.2 million in net outflows on November 5, 2026, as a broader selloff in technology stocks and cryptocurrencies weighed on market sentiment.

The withdrawals reversed the previous session’s positive ETF flows and coincided with a sharp decline in Bitcoin and other major digital assets.

According to data reported by CoinDesk and SoSoValue, Fidelity’s FBTC and BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for the largest individual withdrawals, highlighting renewed volatility in institutional Bitcoin investment products.

Bitcoin ETFs Record $430.2 Million in Daily Outflows

US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs posted combined net outflows of approximately $430.2 million during the November 5 trading session.

The figure marked a reversal from November 4, when the funds recorded approximately $74.6 million in net inflows.

Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) experienced the largest outflow, with approximately $199.9 million leaving the fund.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) followed with around $105 million in net withdrawals.

Together, these two funds represented approximately $304.9 million in withdrawals, equivalent to about 71% of the combined net outflow figure.

Which Bitcoin ETFs Saw the Largest Withdrawals?

The November 5 session showed substantial differences between individual ETF products.

    Bitcoin ETFNovember 5 Net Flow
    Fidelity FBTC-$199.9 million
    BlackRock IBIT-$105.0 million
    Grayscale GBTC-$49.9 million
    ARK 21Shares ARKB-$18.9 million

These selected funds illustrate the major sources of redemptions. The combined industry total reflects both withdrawals and any inflows recorded by other products.

Importantly, net outflows do not mean that every ETF investor sold their holdings or that the same dollar amount was sold directly on cryptocurrency exchanges.

Bitcoin Recovers Above $76,000 After Market Selloff

Bitcoin recovered above $76,000 during an early November 6 market snapshot after falling below that level during Thursday’s decline, according to CoinDesk.

The cryptocurrency had lost more than 5% over the preceding 24 hours at the time of that report.

The broader digital asset market also weakened, reflecting reduced appetite for risk following a sharp decline in US technology shares.

Bitcoin trades continuously, so these prices represent historical market observations rather than live quotations.

Technology Stock Selloff Adds Pressure to Crypto Markets

The decline in Bitcoin occurred alongside substantial losses in US equities.

CoinDesk reported that the Nasdaq Composite fell approximately 5.5% on November 5, while the S&P 500 declined about 4.3%.

The simultaneous weakness in technology stocks and digital assets highlighted the sensitivity of speculative investments to shifts in market confidence.

Although Bitcoin is sometimes described as a potential alternative to traditional financial assets, its price can also move alongside risk-sensitive markets during periods of intense volatility.

    Crypto Liquidations Amplify the Decline

Leveraged cryptocurrency traders faced significant losses as prices moved sharply lower.

According to CoinGlass figures cited by CoinDesk, approximately $1.26 billion in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated over a 24-hour period.

Of that total, roughly $1.12 billion involved long positions, which are bets on rising prices.

When leveraged positions are forcibly closed, the resulting transactions can contribute to additional market volatility.

Liquidation totals are estimates that can vary between data providers and reporting windows.

    Why Bitcoin ETF Flows Matter

Spot Bitcoin ETFs allow investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin through traditional brokerage accounts without directly managing cryptocurrency wallets.

Daily net flows can offer insight into demand for these investment products.

However, ETF flows should not be interpreted as a complete measure of institutional sentiment or as a reliable standalone predictor of Bitcoin’s next price move.

Bitcoin also trades through spot exchanges, derivatives markets, and other investment channels that are not captured by US spot ETF flow data.

What Should Bitcoin Investors Watch Next?

    1. ETF Flow Trends

Several consecutive sessions of inflows or outflows can provide more context than a single daily reading.

    2. Bitcoin Price Stability

Traders will be watching whether Bitcoin can maintain support near recently tested price levels, although technical levels are not guarantees.

    3. US Stock Market Performance

Further weakness or stabilization in technology stocks could influence broader risk appetite.

    4. Derivatives Market Leverage

Changes in open interest, funding rates, and liquidations may help investors assess speculative positioning.

Does the $430 Million Outflow Signal a Bigger Bitcoin Correction?

The November 5 outflow is a notable sign of short-term pressure, but one trading session alone cannot establish a sustained market trend.

Future ETF activity, broader financial conditions, investor demand, and derivatives positioning will help determine whether the decline continues or stabilizes.

For investors, distinguishing short-term market volatility from longer-term changes in demand remains essential.

    Final Thoughts

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $430.2 million in net outflows on November 5, led by substantial withdrawals from Fidelity and BlackRock products.

The redemptions coincided with falling technology stocks, heavy crypto liquidations, and a volatile Bitcoin market.

As traders assess the next market move, ETF flows, equity-market sentiment, and leverage will remain important indicators to monitor.

Data reflects reporting available on November 6, 2026. Market prices and fund flows may have changed since publication.
